Getting your summer body ready is not as hard as it seems or sounds. Some key focus points to remember when beginning your journey is the following: 

#1 Planning your workouts 

Success starts with good preparation. Planning your workouts ahead will remove the anxiety of not knowing what to do each time you work out. instead, you'll have a plan in place. For example, strength training on Monday and Friday, and cardio on Wednesday

#2 Plan your meals ahead

It helps to know what you're going to eat before the weight loss journey. Knowing what you'll eat will also simplify your shopping process. The dedication goes a long way. 

#3 Track what you eat

Just as you would plan your meals, you also have to consciously know what you're eating each day. Mindfully being aware of your meals and what you consume throughout the day might sound like painstaking work, but the effort pays off in the end. 

#4 Soak in some sunshine  

The sun has so many health benefits like providing what our body needs to produce the sleep hormone melatonin, thanks to Vitamin D. getting enough sleep will aid in your body's ability to process and digest food. The sun can also help set you off into a good frame of mind where you're feeling less anxious and stressed. 

#5 Ignore the scale's numbers 

Losing weight is more than just dropping calories, its about becoming healthy, building strength and feeling less mentally stressed. Sometimes progress is seen in how you feel, more than how much weight you've shed. 



#6 Not all bodies are the same - top making comparisons 

It might seem practical to want results in a short timeframe, but physically this is impossible. Everyone's body operates differently with some people having a faster metabolism than others. In the same way, some folks are bigger built and not overweight. Keep this fact in mind, and stop comparing yourself with someone else.
